Here are some trends I’ve noted in the executive search field:
Regionally and Worldwide the Executive Search Industry has seen a significant shift in quality over quantity as recently publicized in the Association of Executive Search Consultants Q2 “AESC State of the Executive search Industry Report.” According to AESC the average fee per assignment has risen in the second quarter over the same period a year ago, while the number of new searches fell. The report goes on to report the following industry trends:
- The Average Net Revenues is up from last year
- The Average Revenue Per Consultant is roughly the same since last year
- The average Fee Per Assignment is up year-on-year +6-9%
- The Average Number of searches started is down -11.5%
- The Average Number of Searches started by Industry shows an increase in Financial, Life Sciences/Healthcare, Technology and Consumer Products, while Industrial and Non-Profit are down year-on-year.
