Paul Herrerias

Paul Herrerias has thirty years of executive search and leadership consulting for dynamic companies. He has assists in board placements, M&A deals, fundraising, and business team coaching, using his background and master’s degree in HR/Organization Development as well as his CPA license earned while on the audit staff of Deloitte. Throughout his career he has interviewed and coached thousands of executives and developed his own career assessment tools to “get the right people on the bus” when building teams.

Paul believes that teams, not individuals, build successful businesses.  So, how does one get the right people?  Having worked with over three hundred business and organizational teams to add executive or professional talent, he has honed his craft.  Combining his business, coaching, executive assessment, team building, and career counseling skills he has created unique tools to facilitate success.  He has been using these tools and surveys during his Executive Search assignments to recommend the right people for the right teams.

Paul has over thirty years of executive search and leadership consulting service in the Bay Area. He has conducted hundreds of search assignments in the consumer products, technology, food and wine, professional and financial services, and non-profit industries. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Stanton Chase San Francisco and Silicon Valley in 2006, Paul co-founded three executive search and consulting firms.

Previous professional career affiliations include KPMG Peat Marwick’s Executive Search team and Deloitte & Touche’s Audit team, where he earned his CPA license. He lectures and consults with CPA firms on recruiting, leadership development, and succession planning. Paul served as Chapter President, State Council member, and State Board member for the California Society of CPAs, a 30,000-member professional association.

Paul co-founded the Global CFO Practice Group at Stanton Chase. He has earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development (MHROD) and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, both from the University of San Francisco, and also has a CPA License.
